I keep rewatching this, it's just so refreshing to see genuinely well made fan films again. But for me, you'll always be the man who does the sweetest Robin Williams homage.
Seeing good people like Patrick Swayze taken by cancer makes me want to dropkick cancer right in the face. RIP (8/11 EDIT: I know he was a chain smoker and he dug his own grave with that. That's not the point. He was still a good person. He never got in trouble with the law. You never heard him being an asshole to his co-workers on set or to his fans. No allegations against him came out after he died. That's the point I was making - he was a good guy taken away by the likes of cancer...
The Loretto Chapel Miracle Staircase ( A TRUE STORY) Proves miracles due happen which science has yet to explain. The Chapel was built between 1873 and 1878. The staircase is 138 years old. To this day 3 questions remain about the staircase which have never been answered. 1) Who actually built the staircase?  Legend says St Joseph (The patron saint of carpenters) built the staircase (But nobody really knows) The stairway's carpenter, whoever he was, built a magnificent structure. The design was innovative for the time and some of the design considerations still perplex experts today. 2) How is the staircase balanced? The staircase defies gravity Architects, engineers, and scientist have yet been able to explain how the staircase can balance without a central support. By the law of gravity the staircase should have crashed into the floor the second somebody stepped one foot on to it. Yet the staircase has been used daily for 138 years. 3) Where did the wood come from? The type of wood used to build the staircase is not found anywhere in the entire region.   One last detail the staircase has 33 steps, the age of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when he died on the cross. Although the Catholic Church is cautious about spreading rumors of supernatural intervention, the nuns know the miracle staircase is an answer to their novena to St Joseph. When the Loretto Chapel was completed in 1878, there was no way to access the choir loft twenty-two feet above. Carpenters were called into address the problem, but they all concluded access to the loft would have to be reached by using a ladder as a staircase would interfere with the interior space of the small Chapel. The Nuns prayed for nine days with rosary novena, on the 10th day a mysterious man showed up looking for work with a donkey and a few tools using a hammer, a saw, a T square and some tubes of water the man built the staircase all by himself. It took the man 8 months to complete the beautiful spiral staircase. Then without notice and pay, the mysterious man disappeared and was never seen again. The staircase was considered to be the pride of carpentry. The staircase has two 360 degree turns and no central support and was built without nails, screws or means the staircase hangs with no support meaning the entire weight is on the base. Architects Engineers, and Scientist say that by the law of gravity it should have crashed into the floor the second somebody stepped one foot on to it. Yet the staircase has been used daily for 138 years. A railing was added 2 years after it was built.

March 17, 2018 · 6:00 am Lent Day 28 March 17 Prophet from Galilee John 7:40-53 When they heard these words, some in the crowd said, “This is really the prophet. ” Others said, “This is the Messiah. ” But some asked, “ Surely the Messiah does not come from Galilee, does he? Has not the scripture said that the Messiah is descended from David and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David lived? ” So there was a division in the crowd because of him. Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him. Then the temple police went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who asked them, “Why did you not arrest him? ” The police answered, “Never has anyone spoken like this! ” Then the Pharisees replied, “Surely you have not been deceived too, have you? Has any one of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in him? But this crowd, which does not know the law—they are accursed. ” Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before, and who was one of them, asked, “Our law does not judge people without first giving them a hearing to find out what they are doing, does it? ” They replied, “Surely you are not also from Galilee, are you? Search and you will see that no prophet is to arise from Galilee. ” Then each of them went home. Prayer Thought Lord, help me not to judge people because of my perception of people “light them. ” “ Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger. ” ― St. Patrick March 17, 2014 · 9:03 am St. Patrick St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, is one of Christianity’s most widely known figures. But for all his celebrity, his life remains somewhat of a mystery. Many of the stories traditionally associated with St. Patrick, including the famous account of his banishing all the snakes from Ireland, are false, the products of hundreds of years of exaggerated storytelling. It is known that St. Patrick was born in Britain to wealthy parents near the end of the fourth century. He is believed to have died on March 17, around 460 A. D. Although his father was a Christian deacon, it has been suggested that he probably took on the role because of tax incentives and there is no evidence that Patrick came from a particularly religious family. At the age of 16, Patrick was taken prisoner by a group of Irish raiders who were attacking his family’s estate. They transported him to Ireland where he spent six years in captivity. (There is some dispute over where this captivity took place. Although many believe he was taken to live in Mount Slemish in County Antrim, it is more likely that he was held in County Mayo near Killala. ) During this time, he worked as a shepherd, outdoors and away from people. Lonely and afraid, he turned to his religion for solace, becoming a devout Christian. (It is also believed that Patrick first began to dream of converting the Irish people to Christianity during his captivity. ) After more than six years as a prisoner, Patrick escaped. According to his writing, a voice—which he believed to be God’s—spoke to him in a dream, telling him it was time to leave Ireland. To do so, Patrick walked nearly 200 miles from County Mayo, where it is believed he was held, to the Irish coast. After escaping to Britain, Patrick reported that he experienced a second revelation—an angel in a dream tells him to return to Ireland as a missionary. Soon after, Patrick began religious training, a course of study that lasted more than 15 years. After his ordination as a priest, he was sent to Ireland with a dual mission: to minister to Christians already living in Ireland and to begin to convert the Irish. (Interestingly, this mission contradicts the widely held notion that Patrick introduced Christianity to Ireland. ) Familiar with the Irish language and culture, Patrick chose to incorporate traditional ritual into his lessons of Christianity instead of attempting to eradicate native Irish beliefs. For instance, he used bonfires to celebrate Easter since the Irish were used to honoring their gods with fire. He also superimposed a sun, a powerful Irish symbol, onto the Christian cross to create what is now called a Celtic cross, so that veneration of the symbol would seem more natural to the Irish. Although there were a small number of Christians on the island when Patrick arrived, most Irish practiced a nature-based pagan religion. The Irish culture centered around a rich tradition of oral legend and myth. When this is considered, it is no surprise that the story of Patrick’s life became exaggerated over the centuries—spinning exciting tales to remember history has always been a part of the Irish way of life. HAPPY ST. PATICK’S DAY.

For those who are still unsure why us Irish celebrate St Patricks Day think of it as a day celebrating Irish culture and who we are as a people (not all about leprechauns and green beer) Originally started off religious but now more about Irish traditions, music and culture. 70 million diaspora worldwide having a chance to re connect to their Irish heritage.  Its our own version of 4th of July, Canada Day, St Georges Day (England) St Davids Day (Wales) Waitangi Day (New Zealand) etc. from a Dubliner.

You're only on this planet for so long, go for it now. Haha, I was going to say... he lived for over 400 years. P. I wish there was a soundtrack link for this film. True Story of Ireland's Patron Saint Comes to Life on Screen ForDocudrama 'I Am Patrick' | 130 Agency Actor John Rhys-Davies makes his return to faith-based entertainment as the lead in the upcoming movie about the life of Ireland’s patron saint, Patrick.  The inspiring docudrama, “I Am Patrick: The Patron Saint of Ireland” will hit theaters on St. Patrick’s Day 2020 and aims to enlighten people on the little-known true story of St Patrick. From CBN Documentaries and Director Jarrod Anderson, the feature-length film features Rhys-Davies, known for his role in “The Lord Of The Rings, ” as the older Patrick. Sean T. O’Meallaigh (“Vikings”) and Robert McCormack also portray Patrick at different phases of his life. “I Am Patrick” hopes to illuminate centuries of legend and myth about the life and mission of St. Patrick. The film will feature historical re-enactments, expert interviews and writings from the saint himself which details his journey from man to sainthood. “In the fifth century, the Roman empire was collapsing, and barbarians threatened civilization. In Britain, a teenager named Patrick was living a comfortable life as the son of a government official. Despite being part of the Roman Catholic Church, his faith didn’t mean anything to him until he was kidnapped by pirates at the age of 16 and enslaved at the edge of the known world–Ireland. For six years, Patrick was forced to work as a shepherd and was driven to the brink of starvation. It was there he turned to his Christian faith and through divine intervention managed to escape. He was reunited with his family in Britain only to have a prophetic dream calling him to take Christianity back to the land of his captivity, ” the film synopsis reads. “Against the wishes of his family and the Church, Patrick returned as a missionary bishop to Ireland and converted thousands to Christianity. He opposed slavers, Irish kings and possibly Druids but nothing compared to the hostility he faced from his fellow Christians. After a close friend exposed a dark secret of Patrick’s, it is believed he was ordered to leave his mission and return to Britain. Patrick had to choose – obey God or obey man? ”  “I Am Patrick” will be in theaters for two days only, March 17-18, 2020, by Fathom Events. “From a life of comfort to enslavement to a faith that changed a nation, this is the true story of the saint you thought you knew, ” said writer, director Anderson in a statement shared with The Christian Post.
